I have been tagged by SuperGabers! I have to list 6 facts/habits then tag 6 people of my own to do the same.

1. I think of myself as a low maintenance girly girl (and FYI Rob backs that up). I love a fresh mani/pedi, getting my hair done, and anything that has to do being pampered at the spa. I love new outfits, lip gloss, accessories, shoes, and handbags. I love being a girl. But I am not afraid to get to work and get my hands dirty. I am not a prissy girl.

2. I am kind of a clean freak and love having a clean house. Not just freshly vacuumed carpet and lemon scented mopped floors but I like the hidden spaces organized and tidy too. I hate clutter, it annoys the crap out of me and takes up unnecessary space. I like my pantry, cupboards, garage, closets, drawers, etc to be free from said clutter. As a side note it bugs when people have so much junk in their garages that their cars don't fit. Ridiculous.

3. I heart my birthday--it is my own special personal holiday. How fun to have my own cake, decorations, and presents all for MOI. I usually take the day off and get a massage or facial, have a nice lunch with friends, then spend the rest of the day at the pool (summer birthdays rock). Only five months to go.

4. I'm a summer girl. I love the sun, the heat, the late sun-setting Utah evenings, and of course having a fresh healthy glow. When it is cold and snowy I love a mid winter tropical get-away to help me cope until spring.

5. I'm a mommy. I love listening to Noah babble and sing in the mornings when he first wakes up. It is so fun to lay in bed and listen to him carry on. He is always so happy and cute. It is equally fun sneak into his room and greet him with an excited hello.

6. Organized sports on tv sucks. I hate it. It sounds like static. I hate it when Rob watches that crap. I am much more supportive to physically go to sporting events in person.

Four Seasons Resort--Gorgeous!

Rob and I met our long time Cali friends John and Melissa in Maui for our vacay. We always talked about going together and finally pulled it off. It was awesome! The only rule was that there were no kids allowed. Here are some pics and some of the highlights...

• We had the most delish food at some of our all time fave restaurants! The Prawns Amaretto at Longhi's had an amazing orange amaretto sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed the full cube of butter in the sauce and practically licked my plate clean. Then there was the hula pie at Kimo's which was to die for. Imagine a half-inch thick Oreo cookie crust filled with macadamia nut ice cream and chocolate sauce. The waffle cone of coconut macadamia nut ice cream from Lappert's was the best ice cream ever! I think we all gained 5 pounds while we were there.


• Melissa and I hadn't seen any whales so on the last day we decided to do a whale watch. We saw TONS and they were CLOSE. It was so amazing to watch the little baby whale jump and play in the water while his parents dove underneath. Then we watched three males try to fight for the attention of a female. They must have thought she was a hottie!


• The last three days were pretty windy which created huge waves on Kaanapali Beach (usually the waves are small here). It was fun to watch the surfers ride the shore break. I thought they were nuts since they were pretty much getting dumped into the sand.


• We walked around the gorgeous tropical grounds of the Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, and Ritz Carlton and imagined what it would be like to stay in an $800 a night room.


• We all jumped off Black Rock with the exception of Melissa who was swept off the cliff by a big wave during her climb up. The rock left her leg bruised and cut up. Reef rash anyone?


• Rob and John were awesome surf buddies and cruised all over the island in search of good waves while Melissa and I slathered on the coconut oil to bring home the perfect souvenir tan.

Leaving tomorrow.

Have looked forward to this trip for over a year.

My starter tan has been established. New bikini's, cover ups, coconut oil, and sunblock are ready. Summer clothes have been pulled from the closet. Grams is geared up to hang out with Noah.

Sea Food

I have taught Noah to do "sea food" while he is eating. He thinks it is hilarious to show me what he is chewing. I love meal time!

Anyways the point is that I think I am brilliant in teaching this because now I can have him show me his food when I suspect there may be a foreign object in his mouth.

Where is my mama of they year/most imaginative award?

I have also taught Noah where his belly button is and love asking him to show me. Hilarious!

The Last Hurrah!

Rob, Moi, Keli, Sean, and Gretta

My BFF Keli is moving all the way across the country to Chi-town later this week. I am so depressed I can hardly think about it--all for selfish reasons of course! Last night we went to Citrus Grill to 'celebrate' our last hurrah before they go. I love Keli, Sean, and their kids and wish them the best with their new life together in the windy city. I know they will do great there and will make all new friends--but they wont be able to replace the Hopkins family. We are one of a kind. Ü And of course we won't be able to replace the Claytons!

In the last few years that we have been friends and neighbors we have a ton of awesome memories together. There was the time we ran out of gas in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere while on the way to Colorado. That was pretty entertaining! And how about our "day spa" adventure in Glenwood Springs. Plus all the movie nights, bbq's, pool checks, and all day tanning sessions at said pool. Keli was the best back-up for Noah and always so sweet to him. I don't know who is going to do my hair now-I will miss our coloring/cutting parties! I will also miss the fresh batches of Keli's famous homemade chocolate chip cookies, buscuits, and other tasty treats. Thank goodness we are both totally addicted to our BlackBerry's and can keep updated via email and our blogs. Keli's personality is super sunny and bubbly--and she is talented because even when she is pissed she is super happy, I kid you not. Keli is crafty, a complete fashionista, and beautiful even though she will claim not to be.

You're the best Keli--I love you and wish you the best in Chicago! I know you will rock that town! Thanks for being such an awesome BFF!!!

Old Friends

Last weekend Rob and I met up for dinner with three of my old high school friends and their hubs. We had the best time sitting around and reminiscing about the good old days. Two of these girls I have been friends with since I was 5. If you do the math that is a long-a time! Whenever I get together with old friends I always realize how we can pick up where we left off as if no time has passed. That makes a great friend!
