Night, night

You know how when you put your baby to bed you make sure they have everything they need to successfully fall asleep on their own? The survival items include the Nuby full of milk, a blankie tucking them in all cozy, a teddy bear, and a bink in the corner for later.

Then you know how you check on them a few minutes later to make sure they are okay? You re-tuck them in, remove the Nuby, and teddy bear?

This is what I found when I did my "check" a few nights ago. SO ADORABLE. Noah fell asleep like this and it was the cutest thing I ever saw.

Noah hasn't become attached to any toys, stuffed animals, blankies, etc. until recently when his teddy became his best friend! So adorable.

Lazy Fall Day!

Today has been amazingly lazy and relaxing! I would like to thank the rain, slush, and snow that has been falling ever since I came home from my weekly scheduled Saturday morning grocery shopping/errand running. It has added to the cozy ambiance of the day. It was awesome light a spicy scented candle, lay on the couch with a blankie, turn on the fireplace, and catch up on all the NEW FALL tv shows that I had recorded throughout the week and saved especially for today. Not to mention how nice it was to skip through all the unwanted commercials. I think it is also an excellent justification that I am actually saving a third of the time I am really wasting. Ha ha.

I don't want the day to end...or do I? Rob and I are going out to Market Street Cottonwood tonight courtesy of the HOA in our neighborhood as a thank you for taking care of the pool this summer. My mouth is watering for the clam chowder (I will think of you Super Crowleys) and I am thinking the raspberry almond torte for dessert will be perfect. I have been starving myself all day so I can enjoy it that much more!

Thank goodness for being productive and working hard all week so I can really relax and enjoy the weekends.

Ciao Francesco!

We had such a great weekend with Francesco visiting us from NYC! It was super fun to hang out, visit with family and old friends, go to Sushi, make yummy food at home, and catch up on those crazy old memories. Unkie Frankie was so cute with Noah and Noah loved the extra special attention from silly Unkie Frankie. We can't wait to go visit Francesco next month!!!

New Favorite Restaurant

Today is Friday, that means hurray for a weekend! To celebrate a few of my co-workers and I decided to take a scenic drive to Park City for lunch at Cafe Terigo. It was quite the siesta. The drive was gorgeous with the all red and orange trees on the mountains and there was a little crisp in the air. And the food. Wow! Cafe Terigo is now probably my favorite Utah restaurant, it was fabulous and the ambiance only added to the experience. The chocolate creme brulee was to die for! It is a special place, you know a restaurant you go to for special occasions. I cant wait to go back with Rob for a 'romantic' date! http://www.cafeterigo.com/

Yippee!

For two mornings in a row I have been able to distract Noah with a Baby Einstein DVD while getting ready for work.

Yippee! This is fantastic news since I hate having to scoop up the scattered lotion bottles, styling products, bandaids, round brushes, etc. and put them back into the drawers and cabinets where they belong.

Please note Noah doesn't usally stand this close to the tv, there was some staging for the camera.

Farwell Fond Friend...

Goodbye, goodbye sun-kissed skin
Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic I will miss
Thank you bikini for minimizing tan lines
My hair was never so blonde
The endless joy of reading trash mags
Sweet tunes from the iPod
The joy of wasting an ENTIRE Saturday
Is now gone, gone, gone
A tear runs down my cheek

How can summer already be over? I never got to have my midnight skinny dip. Dang it! Could someone please pass the Prozac?

We had a fantabulous time at the pool once again this summer. Countless bbq's, picnics, and tan-a-thons with neighbors, friends, and family. We are so lucky to have a neighborhood pool--how awesome to walk four houses down whenever we feel like taking a dip. I even converted Rob to the peaceful relaxation and art of laying out. I was so proud of his tan!

Family swim time was never so much fun with the little man. Noah loved the water from his first dive in and quickly became comfortable doing seated jumps from the side, didn't fight all those forced dunks, loved to splash, and naturally took up kicking his legs. What a little fish! I'm so sad to put away his cool little swim trunks. Hopefully next summer he will pick up where he left off and be swimming on his own.

Keli and I so generously volunteered to do the pool checks this year. We not only saved the community $1600 but this enabled us to be in charge of the pool temperature...mmm it was just right all summer long! Thanks Keli!

Meet Noah...

I guess it is official that Noah is no longer a baby...he is a toddler now. At 13 1/2 months he recently started walking, has graduated from a bottle to a sippy cup, suddenly has a cute little sense of humor, and is opinionated, especially when he doesn't get his way.

It's crazy to see how fast they grow and change. Now that we have this parenting thing down maybe it is time to get another one of these little rats. Ü

We love Noah so much! We can't imagine life without him and can't remember what life was like before him!

Ready, Set, Go...

It is official, I am finally starting my blog after a year of thinking about it. Now I can document all the crazy fun adventures as well as some of the boring things that happen in my life.

I'm Rob's hot wife, Noah's awesome mom, and I have a great career. What can I say? I am the luckiest girl in the world.

Stay posted for fun pictures, family updates, exciting adventures, and just the regular hum drum things of life.

This is where it is at...the adventure begins NOW!
